We began by taking up all the grass and top layer of soil from the old lawn. We then constructed the base for a timber decking and built two large blockwork frames – one was built to hide the property’s oil tank and the other was for a raised flower bed. Both of these were rendered and painted white.

We then laid the attractive, hardwood timber decking and created a sweeping gravel path that ran down the centre of the newly turfed lawn to a paved area at the rear of the garden. An olive tree and several tall shrubs were planted around the lawn and young plants and flowers were laid in the two new flowerbeds. Children’s playground equipment was placed by the client on the larger mulch bed close to the decking.
